We don’t just build websites. We build websites that get results!
How do we build profitable websites for small business?
Firstly Search Engines are used by over 80% of people to find websites so
whatever we do has to be with this in mind. The higher up your website is on
these the more visitors you will get.
Our years of marketing and search engine optimization experience (total of 28
years) has taught us how to segment your market on the Internet search engines
to get your site listed on the first page. This in turn generates lots of
visitors.
Your site also needs to be well designed and contain a call-to-action.
In other words your site needs to be User friendly and easy for visitors to
navigate and it also needs to have a flow which will guide your visitors to take
some action. Whether you want to make a sale (e-commerce) or you are simply
imparting valuable company information, getting your message across is what it
is all about!
Your objectives
Any website can accomplish its stated marketing objectives providing you have a
clear understanding of what they are. Who your market is and what you expect in
return.
Developing your site
Most websites take less than a month to develop (even e-commerce sites). That is
from your design brief EPNET develop conceptual designs in about eight days,
then after approval we put your site into full production where you are able to
monitor our progress daily over the Internet, (any delays that we have incurred
in the past, usually result when a client does not have sufficient text
information or photographs ready for inclusion on the website).
Satisfied customers
We have many clients, who are taking advantage of our expertise from many
different industries such as employment agencies, industrial manufacturing,
architectural, gifts, interior design, cameras, FMCG beverages, crafts, medical
laboratory equipment; IT networks, Advertising and PR to customer relationship
management companies. Each one excels on the Internet and enjoys our expertise
and continuous monitoring and development of their websites.
Case Study small business results – a success story |
Here is one example of one of our older small business websites:
Old Web Design
Look what they say!
"Since I started with my website designed by Epnet, I am now making more from my hair extension business in one month than I used to make in an entire year."

The best way to explain how we successfully develop a website is
by a typical example of how a person has benefited from our
service.
We have a client who is a hairdresser and her service is to
offer ladies hair extensions. She operates from Parkmore,
Sandton in Johannesburg. The normal promotional method with
hairdressers is to place a print advertisement in a local paper.
We broke this mould and developed a website based on her hair
extensions service, (at first glance, you would think that the
idea was crazy to imagine a local business in a local suburb
could attract anything from the Internet). We understood that we
had to market the website with the following keywords: hair
extensions, Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa, in order to
properly segment her market on the search engines to what she
does and where she is located.
Our first objective was to analyse what people type into a
search engine when looking for similar services, (there are a
couple of websites that provide this information). After this we
analysed competitors’ websites that ranked highly for these
search terms. We then developed a strategy as to what content
would be required on the site to achieve a good ranking. Bearing
in mind that search engines can only read words, not pictures,
we needed to produce content which had an appeal using the right
keywords.
Well she has had the website up for over three years after the
first month she attracted over two thousand visitors and now
attracts an average of four thousand visitors a month, has more
business than she knows what to do with and is currently
employing an assistant to be able to cope with the work!
Why has this worked for our hairdresser? (it is certainly
not because she has a fantastically designed website!)
Her market is in the upper income group, (as human hair
extensions cost many thousands of rands), the people who are in
this income group use the Internet frequently as they usually
consist of career women who use the Internet daily for business
reasons so searching on the Internet for personal services has
become natural for them. Then there are many people from the
rest of Africa and Europe who travel to Johannesburg for
business or holiday reasons. Our hairdresser has made
appointments from countries such as Zambia, Angola, Dubai as
well as Cape Town, Durban, Portugal and other European
countries. You cannot attract this business from advertising in
local newspapers. For her a website has become a career life
changing experience and she can afford a better quality of life
than previously ever thought possible.
See how we have managed to position her website
on page one of Google for the keyword search
terms:
hair extensions Johannesburg (opens in a
new window). She also refuses to allow us to
upgrade her site into something more fancy, "if it ain't broke,
don't fix it!"

Case study 2 another small business success story |
Here is another example of an older small business website:

Another old web design
Look what they say!
"Epnet have been very instrumental in our growth, as
they designed a great web site, which averages around 4000 hits
(visitors) to our site each month. Many of our customers buy
furniture from us, even though they are based in Botswana, Namibia
or Durban and Cape Town, and we even get people in England buying
our stuff for friends or family in Johannesburg."

This will work for you whether a small or large company, the
Internet is a great leveller so no matter what size you are a
website can become a company asset by generating greater
customer awareness and income!
Once your new website is launched it will only take
approximately three weeks to start getting results from search
engines. Remember it does not really matter if you attract 100
or 400 visitors a day, what matters is that you capture sales or
enquiries from your visitors at an optimal level to achieve
success!
Measuring results
Our visitor tracking systems which are critical components for
any website, ensure that you get notified daily via email of the
number of visitors to your website where they are from, and what
pages they read. So you know what is going on from day to day.
